UKHarvest want to say a massive thank you to the brilliant team at P&O team who acted so quickly at the beginning of lockdown to avoid such a potential food waste disaster and turn it into something so positive with such a tangible impact.

When the cruise holidays were sadly cancelled we worked with their logistics team to off load over 160 tonnes of food from fresh produce, beautiful cuts of meat and frozen pastries and industrial quantities of dried goods over the last few months. Our recipients have been enormously grateful for the fabulous food they have received. These donations have supported a number of shelters, homeless charities, housing associations, women’s refuges, youth groups and schools with vulnerable children and community kitchens such as the Real Junk Food project and Trash Kitchen who run pay as feel cafes.
