Garfield Weston Foundation donate £25,000 to UKHarvest
In 1958, Willard Garfield Weston started Garfield Weston Foundation, with the aim to ensure that charitable organisations across the UK could receive financial donations to continue and grow their operations. UKHarvest are delighted to announce that we have received £25,000 from Garfield Weston Foundation.
Tobi Stather's, Head of Fundraising at UKHarvest added 'We are truly grateful to Garfield Weston Foundation for their incredibly generous donation of £25,000 to our ongoing operations. This donation will help support our Community Food Hubs found across West Sussex, enable us to work with local schools through our Grub Club programme and allow us to continue to provide the outstanding services at our Community Food Hub in London, Nourish Hub.'
This incredible donation not only allows UKHarvest to continue with the existing Community Food Hubs that operate across West Sussex, but it allows the team opportunities to ensure that more edible surplus food than ever is rescued and redistributed than before and ensuring that access to healthy and nutritious ingredients is available to our service users.
