Matthew 25 Mission
"On behalf of the trustees, employees, volunteers and, especially, guests of the Matthew 25 Mission, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the generous support that UKHarvest has given us during the Coronavirus pandemic.
This has been a very difficult period for everyone and, for the charity, that difficulty translates into a huge strain on our human and material resources as the number of people in need increased sharply. It is no exaggeration to say that, without the assistance of UKHarvest, the Mission would have struggled to sustain its services to the most disadvantaged people in our community."
- Paul Howard, Treasurer/Trustee, The Matthew 25 Mission
We have been donating a van of surplus food every week to the Matthew 25 Mission since May 2020, supporting their fantastic mission where they work 7 days a week and serve up to 1,200 meals! They even store food for other local non-profits such as FSW Eastbourne.
The Matthew 25 Mission is a Christian charity offering practical assistance and support to anyone in need regardless of race, religion, age, or gender. Registered and based in Eastbourne the Matthew 25 Mission provides pastoral care and advice to anyone who needs it along with food, clothing, and basic necessities. The volunteers there aim to support people trying to rebuild broken lives, especially those with life-threatening addiction, loneliness, bereavement, unemployment, homelessness, offending and more.
We want to thank the Matthew 25 Mission charity for taking our rescued food and giving it to the people who need it most. It is always a huge pleasure to work with the Matthew 25 Mission to fight food waste together!
