The 2022 RIBAJ MacEwen Award
We are delighted that the Nourish Hub has once again been recognised for its benefit to the community by winning the 2022 RIBAJ MacEwen Award.
The awards celebrate responsible architecture and projects that demonstrate wide social benefit.
We worked closely with architects RCKa and London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham to develop a democratic space, suitable in reaching our environmental and social goals. The result is our ‘Nourish Hub’; a welcoming space with the facilities to host our community lunch, education programmes and social development.
Yvonne Thomson, UKHarvest CEO, adds “We are incredibly proud that the Nourish Hub continues to be recognised for its work within the community at this early stage. This award commends the values underpinning our hub, and we look forward to achieving the success we set out to accomplish.”
This award follows the NLA Awards in December 2021, where the Nourish Hub won the Mayors prize and the Community Prize.
The Nourish Hub currently serves a ‘donate as you dine’ lunch, an extensive volunteer programme and education within its purpose built training kitchen.
