Wonky Coffee + UKHarvest = Amazing outcomes
Sometimes collaborations arise that cross so many areas of your organisation; it’s almost impossible to categorise them. One such partnership is UKHarvest’s recent connection with Wonky Coffee!
Harrison and Dale, the founders of Wonky Coffee, are working closely with UKHarvest and Nourish Hub on so many levels. The big shout out is that the organisation has kindly donated £1200 as a percentage of their profits from their Christmas Wonky Chocolate campaign! That is amazing, however it doesn’t end there. “At Wonky, reducing food waste is at the heart of everything we do—but we wanted to do more as a business. Rescuing coffee and chocolate is just the start; we also wanted to partner with a charity that not only fights food waste but ensures surplus food reaches those who need it most. That’s why working with UKHarvest felt like the perfect fit. By donating 25% of our profits, we’re proud to support their incredible mission and amplify the impact we can make together.” Harrison, Co-founder of Wonky Coffee
You might be able to guess from the name that Wonky Coffee collects wonky coffee. Much like UKHarvest, Wonky Coffee rescue surplus coffee that cannot be sold as originally intended and redistributes it as a fraction of the original price. “We really appreciate any collaborations, especially when they involve food or finances. But to receive both from the same organisation is pretty special. Thanks to the team at Wonky for supporting us, for helping us make a difference through our operations, but for also being generous enough to donate coffee to Nourish Hub for them to use.” Tobi Stathers, Head of Fundraising.
Their rescue mission is making the product more affordable, and thanks to their kind generosity, Wonky Coffee are also supplying coffee to Nourish Hub. This is used across the hubs many facilities including their community lunch, and even as a tool to train many of the volunteers to become Baristas. This vital product means that Nourish Hub can continue their employment pathways for many volunteers who are looking to either reskill or upskill, and the community can drink a top brew!
We’re excited to see what 2025 brings but we’re hopeful that it’s a lot more coffee, and some fantastically innovative projects.
