donate your surplus food
Let us collect your surplus food completely free of charge. We will collect your unwanted food and give it to those most vulnerable across our network of over 350 charities.
We accept one-off and regular donations from a variety of places including farms, supermarkets, food suppliers and events, before delivering this to charities such as homeless shelters, refuges, youth and community groups.
What do we take?
Any edible food that’s within it’s ‘Use by’ date! We pick up almost anything, as long as it's food-safe and from a recognised organisation. If you're unsure, just ask!
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one. Unlike other food rescue charities, our services are completely free. We get our funding from donations, allowing us to really help those who need it.
Why do we do it?
Every year in the UK over 8 million people struggle to get enough to eat while £19 billion worth of food is wasted. At UKHarvest we bridge this gap, simultaneously eliminating hunger and reducing food waste.
Who can donate food?
We collect edible surplus food, free of charge, from all types of providers before delivering to those who need it. Providers can include fruit and vegetable markets, supermarkets, hotels, wholesalers, farmers, stadiums, corporate events, catering companies, shopping centres, delis, cafes, restaurants, film and TV shoots and boardrooms.
Where do you collect?
Our refrigerated vans currently make food collections and deliveries in and around Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and London. We work with Xcess: The Independent Food Redistribution Network to help ensure collections can be made across the country. Please do Contact Us with any geographical queries.
